Here are 10 easy ways you can become a champion of apartment ministry:
- Jump in the Mission 98 online community and watch one of the 30+ training videos. Start with watching videos within the section entitled, “The Basics of Multi-Housing Ministry.
- Do you know anyone currently engaging in apartment ministry? If yes, make time with them and learn about what they are doing, pray for them, serve at one of the events they have planned for the community they are involved with, or join them in a Bible study that may be happening.
- Join the Mission 98 online community to see and hear what other people who are ministering in apartment communities are talking about. Joining the community is free and will give you insight on how others are serving residents in multi-housing communities across the US.
- Meet with the Missions Pastor at your church and find out if your church is already involved in an apartment ministry. If not, see if the Missions Pastor knows anyone in your church who currently lives in an apartment community. Then meet with that person and see how receptive they are to coming alongside you and serving the residents in the place they already live.
- Learn about the mission of Apartment Life. Are there Apartment Life coordinators already serving in an apartment community close to you? If yes, would it be possible for you to come alongside them in serving their community.
- Pray for the residents who live in the apartment communities you pass while driving home. Pray for opportunities to engage with them.
- Subscribe to the Mission 98 monthly newsletter to learn how others are reaching people in their communities.
- Toss out any questions you have about apartment ministry to members in our online community. Many people within the group have years of experience in serving those in multi-housing ministry and are happy to share!
- Grab a friend and prayer walk an apartment community close to your house. Pray God will open any possible opportunities to serve the residents who live there.
