Apartment Ministry Accelerator: Launch Lab Cohort

If you are looking for a space to join other likeminded individuals who are interested in starting (or enhancing!) a local apartment ministry, you’ve come to the right place. This month we are kicking off the Apartment Ministry Accelerator Cohort.

Goal of the Apartment Ministry Accelerator Launch Lab Cohort: Prepare participants to confidently start and sustain a local apartment ministry by providing practical tools, faith-centered strategies, and relational approaches for discipleship and building meaningful community.

Who is Apartment Ministry Accelerator for? Anyone interested in starting a local apartment ministry or enhancing an already established apartment ministry

Timeline: Participants attend three sessions virtually. Sessions begin on Thursday, January 29th and participants may choose between two sessions: noon to 1:30PM (MT) or 6PM-7:30PM (MT). Follow up sessions are Thursday, February 12th and Thursday, February 19th. Registration is required. Participants can register via the Mission 98 events page.


Cohort Overview: Three Sessions, 1.5 hours each session

Session 1: Foundations of Apartment Ministry
Objective: Understand the why and the how of apartment ministry.
• Welcome and Introductions
• The importance and landscape of apartment ministry
• Understanding the apartment community: neighbors, needs, and culture
• Principles of relational ministry: friendship, trust, and presence
• Reflection & Q&A

Session 2: Practical Tools
Objective: Equip participants with strategies to engage neighbors meaningfully.
• Review key takeaways from Session 1
• Entry points for connection: events, casual interactions, small acts of service
• Missional rhythms: prayer, consistency, relational presence, discipleship resources
• Tracking wins and staying encouraged
• Reflection & Q&A

Session 3: Launching Your Apartment Ministry
Objective: Prepare participants to take next steps in starting their own local ministry.
• Recap & discussion of obstacles
• Building a simple plan: first steps, goals, and sustainability
• Partnering and resourcing: church, nonprofit, and community connections
• Prayer, commissioning, and encouragement

By the end of the Apartment Ministry Accelerator, participants will have a clear plan, practical tools, and confidence to begin a thriving apartment ministry in their community.
