A fresh produce market supports healthier lifestyles by making nutritious food easily accessible to residents of all ages. A fresh produce market also fosters a sense of care and investment in the community by meeting a practical, everyday need. Take this idea a step further by inviting a local grower to join in or having simple recipes involving some of the produce for residents to take with them.
Bouquet Bar
Beautify a community by adding a bouquet bar. This idea can be paired with a holiday such as Valentine’s Day, the first day of spring, or just an average Saturday. Residents drop in and create a bouquet for mom, sister, friend, or themselves!
Clothing Swap
A clothing swap is a fun activity that unites apartment residents around sustainability and sharing. As neighbors browse, trade, and assist one another in finding items they love, this event fosters communication and camaraderie. In addition, any leftover clothing can be donated to a local clothing closet.
Pet Event
Create a reason for residents’ furry friends to join in community fun by creating an event just for them. Invite vendors such as local trainers, pet sitters, or even consider partnering with a local animal shelter for an adoption event.
