Patty has lived in her community for eight years. Admittedly, Patty doesn’t know many of her neighbors.
However, Patty wants to know her neighbors because the thing is, Patty has felt a prompting that she hasn’t been able to ignore.
Start a Bible study for women. Start it in the clubhouse right where you live.
A few years ago, this would have seemed unthinkable. Patty never saw herself as leading in her community this way, but now, well, now things are starting to feel different. God has been growing and stretching Patty while she teaches women at her own church, and now she is feeling a nudge to teach women outside of church and in her very own neighborhood.
Recently, Patty participated in the Apartment Ministry Accelerator Launch Lab. This cohort walks attendees through turning plans and prayers about apartment ministry into actionable steps.
Patty’s first steps are:
- Praying for her neighbors when she drives in and out of her community
- Enlisting someone from church to join her as she leads a study
- Initiating a conversation with the property manager about use of the clubhouse.
